Your Curves gets Him HIGH

Hey Fellas!! Studies show looking at a Thick Woman gives you the same as HIGH as drinking that Cognac or smoking that Bud!

Well, know there is scienitific proof that a little hips and a round apple bottom not only turns a man on, but gets him high. A natural high, at that! Ha! I know the folks at the now de-funct King magazine is shaking their heads.

The NewYorkDailyNews.com is reporting that "Men can get the same high from looking at a sexy, curvaceous woman that they do from drugs or alcohol, says a new study. The results may help explain why some men are so preoccupied with pornography, researchers said."

So ladies, the next time a man breaks their neck to (cough) appreciate your loveliness, just realize you just gave that man a high!

I have a question though, fellas. Which curviness do you like?
a. Hood/Urban Trina's Before
or
b. the Mainstream Trina's After.

Now, in the words of one of my favorite club songs, "Watch out for the BIG girl!" "Watch for BIG girl!"

That's NOT Cute: Mothers teaching their daughters- Golddigging 101

Ok, I like plenty of others was doing my gossip site search and I know I am alittle late on this one. I love to talk about love and relationships....Can you tell?

But it boogles the mind, when as parents, someone chooses to lead their kids astray. With the crisis Black relationships are in, is it a wonder that men are cynical about a woman's motives when there is this mess going on?

The Tyra Banks show last week featured women ( and I use that term as loosely as they appear) to be teaching their little girls "social skills" of being gold diggers. For the love of money, these women are pimping their girls out. For emphasize, dictionary.com defines pimp as "a person, esp. a man, who solicits customers for a prostitute or a brothel, usually in return for a share of the earnings; pander; procurer." I guess after the mother is all died up, she will look to her daughter to take care of her.

I believe the children are OUR Future, not Our Pensions!

So tell me, where do we go from here?

There is such a thing as TMI

Doing my normal web surfing and did it ever occur to you that people (i.e. complete strangers) know to much about you? Well, it seems like big business is using your own "big brother" to follow you and determine your insurance cost. In the face of Congress dragging their feet on universal healthcare or the lack thereof, this should be a lesson.

So tell me, do you worry about what you share on your twitter or facebook?

Read the preview & Click the link to check out the article I found on Huffingtonpost:

Twitter and Facebook users could see their home insurance premiums rise by as much as 10 percent in the coming years, says Confused.com, a site that allows users to compare the cost of insurance across different providers.

Confused.com argues that social media services like Foursquare and Buzz can increase the risk of theft by alerting burglars to times when people are out of their homes, thus leading to home insurance hikes.

Confused.com isn't alone in worrying about the 'dark side' of status updates. As we wrote last week, the site 'PleaseRobMe.com' was created to make online tell-alls aware of the risks to publicly sharing their location. The site essentially tells the world when Twitter users aren't at home by aggregating location check-ins posted to the microblogging site.

Never LIE about RAPE

Remember the story in October 2009, where a 15 year old girl reported being raped outside a local high school in California during homecoming? Well last week, another girl from the same high school also reported that she was a victim of gang rape. She reported to police that she was kidnapped by four men and raped repeatedly.

Well, it turns that the most recent report was a lie. The girl reportedly stated that she made the report because she was afraid of getting in trouble for staying out too late.

Are you kidding me?!?! That is outrageous! Should we even have the discussion of individuals (regardless of age) being able to take responsibility for their own actions or inactions?

Rape is nothing to lie about. Statistics show that 1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men will be sexually assaulted in their life time. A staggering 15% of children are sexual assault or rape victims.

Should I add that there are perhaps countless others that are imprisoned for rapes they were falsely accused of?

Women lie, Men lie and sometimes numbers do too, but one should NEVER lie about Rape!

Sex, Relationships & the Love in Between

Let's continue to answer the call for SERVICE!!

What would you do if you loss your children, your family, your home, your means of income, your community in a single day- No- within minutes of each other.

Then you were dealing with the fact that there is no one call for help- no emergency operator, emergency medical services, fire or police (see how we take 911, for granted). Finally, compound that with the fact that you have no access to or means to develop shelter, food or water. Well, that is exactly what the COUNTRY of Haiti is facing.

Today, we celebrate the birthday of an World Icon, an humanitarian that worked for the betterment of all humans- One effort at a time. Dr. Martin Luther King led by example and his call was for others to service those in need.

If not Haiti, then your community, local public school, shelter, group home, and yes- I will even include prison. There are men, women, children and families that need to be made whole, but how does that happen if one can not become part of the whole- the large community itself?

Regardless of your memory or what you have been taught about this extraordinary gentleman, please continue to answer the call for service.

Mainstream media got the message, did you?

It boggles my mind that one wants to ignore the importance of mental health. I understand the importance from my own journey and how I still need to be mindful of where I am in my life as not to be a burden to the one's I love and that love me back. Not to resist all of the joy and sometimes the pain that comes with having intimate relationships whether it's as a parent, significant other, sister, daughter, or friend. How can you take care of your physical health by seeing your family practice physican or OB-GYN yearly and not speak to a professional yearly about your mental health?

Can your body be healthy without a healthy mind? How would you function daily, completes the tasks and duties that is required of you?

Well, I am glad to see that more mainstream media outlets are embracing the importance of mental health!

PBS is running a series called "The Emotional Life". Kathryn Powers, Director of the Center for Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (a federal agency) wrote an compelling article in the Huffington Post about the importance of no longer ignoring your mental health.
